On August 15, 2025, Kingmake Outdoor sales department set out at 11 AM toward Villa Q37 on Hailing Island, Yangjiang, embarking on a journey we called “The Mountains and Seas Gathering.” What kind of experience would this turn out to be? Excitement filled the air as we anticipated the adventure ahead.
By 3 PM, we arrived at the villa, completed check-in, and began exploring the spacious property. With everyone settled, we launched into our first team activity: a volleyball match. Beside the pool loungers, we arranged ourselves in a U-shaped formation, listening as host Wanda officially kicked off the event. Manager Joanna shared encouraging words, wishing everyone a joyful and memorable time. After Wanda explained the rules, the games began.
First up was the friendly beach volleyball match. Two teams were formed, led by Xuan and Jenny. Round 1 started with Team Xuan serving—their captain made a powerful first move, sending the ball straight toward the less guarded back area of the opponent's side. Team Jenny reacted quickly: Windy made a solid receive, Jenny set the ball up again, and as it flew back, Terry from Team Xuan smashed it forcefully. The ball rolled so fiercely to the other side that despite three attempts to return it, Team Jenny couldn’t recover, losing the point. When it was their turn to serve, Team Jenny rearranged their formation and fought back fiercely… Ultimately, Team Xuan triumphed under their agile captain’s leadership. The match tested not only teamwork and coordination but also physical endurance.
Next was the hands-and-feet challenge. Three teams competed, captained by Bill, Tina, and Salina, each with four members. The goal was to cross a special “map” laid out on the deck as quickly as possible using only the indicated hand and foot placements. Tina’s team went first but struggled with the unfamiliar setup, finishing in 3 minutes and 21 seconds. Salina’s team finished closely behind at 3 minutes 20 seconds, while Bill’s team, despite more male members, finished in 4 minutes 6 seconds, making Salina’s team the winner.
After the games, we enjoyed some free time. Some went for a swim, some relaxed on the aluminum textilene sun lounger, others sat at the patio’s woven teak wood dining set scrolling through their phones, and some gathered on the wooden garden lounge sofa sets, chatting and enjoying cold drinks. Everyone found their own way to unwind!
Dinner was a delightful buffet hotpot. We grilled, talked, and enjoyed the meal together—pure relaxation. Halfway through, it started to rain. We moved the BBQ under a large outdoor cantilever umbrella. The orange canopy complemented the glow of the charcoal and the fading daylight beautifully.
The next morning, the rain had cleared. After a breakfast featuring fresh seafood, we went to the beach—watching the sunrise, chasing waves, building sandcastles, and sunbathing. We let time slip away, fully immersed in the serenity of outdoor living.
By noon, we gathered beside the pool under the umbrella to capture a group photo, freezing this joyful memory in time.
